Festival Facts
1. The Bella Vista Arts &
Crafts Festival is sponsored by The Village Art Club, Inc., a non-profit
organization located in Bella Vista dedicated to promoting the visual arts
in the Northwest Arkansas area.
2. The Festival is the
fund-raising arm of the VAC, and profits go to running the Club, providing
four-year Art Scholarships to local high school graduates, maintaining the
Wishing Spring Gallery and Gallery West, as well as underwriting classes
and workshops for the public at The Studio.
3. This year, 2007, is the 39th
year for the Festival. We will be in the same location where we have been
for the past 10 years. Festival grounds are located on Highway 279 at
Rogers Road, about a quarter mile south of the Highway 340 stop sign, in
Bella Vista.
4. We appreciate Cooper
Communities for allowing us to use the property for the Festival.
5. The Festival is a three-day
event. Why only three days?
a. Well, the Festival is
totally put together and run by volunteers, who really like to have most
everything completed by Sunday.
b. And many of our Exhibitors
and vendors have regular day jobs and like to be able to travel on
Sunday to get back home in order to go to work on Monday.
c. Three days is about the
max shopping time for the more than 100,000 visitors who come to the
Northwest Arkansas area for Fall Festival weekend.
6. The Festival has booth space
for more than 300 exhibitors, and we are usually full each year.
7. Prospective exhibitors and
food vendors may e-mail or call the office and request an application to
be sent, along with our List of Rules.
8. Each and every exhibitor
goes through a thorough jury process. Four jury members must all approve
the materials being proposed for admission. However, the Exhibitor Chair
and Director make the final decision. Priority placement is given to the
prior year’s exhibitors. The staff feels that only a certain number
of each type of item for sale should be allowed in order for all
exhibitors and vendors to have a chance at good sales
9. Exhibitors may
download the Application and List of Rules from this website and submit
along with other required materials.
